Need a tow? A checklist for pickup and destination
Prepare both addresses, describe the vehicle’s condition, and confirm access before a tow is arranged.
Decide where the vehicle should go
A towing request needs both a pickup location and a destination. Confirm that the repair shop, residence, or other destination can receive the vehicle, especially outside normal opening hours. Ask the destination about keys, parking, and any instructions for an unattended arrival.
If you have not chosen a destination, call the business to discuss the options before relying on an automatic towing quote. The route between the two locations is part of the quote information.
Describe the vehicle and access
Provide the year, make, model, and vehicle type. Explain whether it rolls, steers, or has damage, and mention a locked parking brake or missing key. A garage height limit, narrow driveway, slope, or blocked entrance can affect how pickup is arranged.
- Choose Towing and select the pickup address.
- Enter and select the destination address.
- Review both locations and the quote before submitting the vehicle details.
Review and change your route
Use Change Location to correct the pickup or Change Destination to update where the vehicle should go. You do not need to restart the service selection. Check the new quote after a change and ask for confirmation when an automatic price is unavailable.
Before agreeing to service, ask about the towing method, final charges, payment arrangements, and arrival estimate. Keep your phone available and advise the business if the vehicle moves or access changes. A request form is not confirmation that a tow truck has been dispatched.
