Explain the key problem clearly
Tell the business whether you have a working key, a damaged key, or no keys at all. Mention whether you need a replacement or want an additional spare. If a key turns mechanically but the vehicle will not start, describe the symptoms rather than assuming that programming alone is the solution.
Vehicle year, make, and model help the business check which key and programming service may be suitable. Do not order a replacement solely because a listing or key shell looks similar to yours; ask for compatibility confirmation first.
Prepare access and ownership information
Ask what identification and proof of authorization will be required. Explain whether the vehicle is locked, where it is parked, and whether any existing keys are available. Share sensitive vehicle or ownership documents directly with the business when requested, rather than adding unnecessary personal information to general notes.

Confirm the scope before work begins
